French label co-founded by Philippe Ascoli and Emmanuel de Buretel in September 1995. In 1999, Ascoli relocated to London and created a UK branch of the label. Labels manager Alain Artaud took over as manager of the French operation. The Source logo can be found on some French Virgin releases that pre-date this.
